SPECIALISED OFFICE – ULTRA ELECTRONICS AVALON SYSTEMS

BRIEF

Woolcock Group was asked to design and construct a purpose built office facility that would meet the exacting standards of the Department of Defence to house a Defence Industry company working on Defence contracts.

CONCEPT

Closely liaising with Land Management Corporation (LMC) in the early concept stages resulted in a design that consisted of an architectural and practical office with a strong focus on staff interaction and comfort. A flexible design has left the way open for future expansion.

CHALLENGE

To ensure a practical office whilst maintaining comfort and providing for the unique requirements of a Defence Industry facility.

OUTCOME

Appropriate measures were designed and installed to meet Defence Industry standards without compromising on desired natural light and ventilation… which was achieved by providing 3.6m high ceilings, external awnings and an atrium with automated louvres.
